QUICK NOTE ABOUT THE THEMES OF THE ALBUM: Although a lot of people, by looking at the title, might think that the album is somewhat related to the conan universe, it is not. The term cimmerian was used as a synonim for "dark, hard to grasp, shrouded in fog", an adjective, although rarely used, that originates from the cimmerian population that lived in the caspian steppe.

I picked up the whole serpent sword discography and while there are quite a few amazing albums, the two by Elder Goblin are my fav. EG is the master of tone riding somewhere between crisp digital and blown out lo-fi. Genuinely impressive work. Can’t wait for new releases Big Big Jambo
